  • We totally lucked out with an upgraded room which was very large with a beautiful balcony which overlooked the pool and garden. The hotel was very close to many wonderful restaurants, gelaterias and boutiques. We spoke to others on our tour and everyone was very happy with their room. One couple had a smaller room but said it was very comfortable and clean. The shower / toilet area was a bit small but was more than bearable. There was plenty of space to walk in the room and we did not feel cramped. There is a wonderful coffee bar located up the street on the same side of the hotel.. Read review

  • When we arrived at the Croce Di Malta, the receptionist told us that we were being moved to another hotel as the water main had burst outside and there was no water in our room. The next day she arranged for our baggage to be picked up whilst we were sightseeing and our rooms were waiting for us when we got back that evening. The rooms were nice and clean, with lots of character and comfy beds. Breakfast was good, with a choice of most things except fresh fruit. Staff were good at finding you a table even when everywhere looked full. The receptionist arranged it and a doctor arrived very quicklly. As we didn't have enough cash to pay the doctor, the receptionist lent us the money! When we came to check out, the receptionist was again very helpful, calling us a taxi and not quibbling over the bill when we found some items on it that we hadn't had. I was impressed by this hotel - the staff were amazing, going much further than they had to to help and sorting out problems as quickly as they could.. Read review

  • We were shown to our room and we were immediately pleased with it - it was clean everything worked as it should! Tip - I emailed the hotel prior to leaving to request a room with a balcony ) The garden could have been tidier but during our stay the garden was being mowed, pool cleaned etc in preparation for the summer season and by the time we left it looked very good! We only ate breakfast at this hotel, it was fine! The only thing I found negative was the cost of the mini bar drinks! 5 mins from the train station, 5 - 10 mins from the dueomo, uffizi, ponte vecchio - everything is easily reached via foot! Garden Boboli - this place is beautiful and if your on a shoestring budget a picnic is an ideal way of saving some euros at lunchtime!. Read review

  • I booked a triple room for my family during the peak holiday season in August at an expremely good price through Booked. We were allocated what I assume was a suite, with a sitting room and bathroom downstairs and a double and twin bedroom and second bathroom upstairs. The rooms were quiet, clean and comfortable, if not plush, and the air conditioning was fantastic, especially important as we visited during the hottest month of the year. The small pool and courtyard was a big hit with my 6 year old son, as was the ice cream parlour accross the road, and all the major attractions were within easy walking distance, even in the heat.. • The hotel restaurant was very good as well. The only downside was that we were in a room that was on the main street and the windows were very thin and we could hear EVERYTHING. However, the hotel was very clean with nice aspects (pool, rooftop bar, etc).. Read review
