4.5It's very important to know that there are two long flights of stairs to climb before arriving at the elevator which takes you to the reception. This hotel would not work for someone who is especially elderly or disabled. However, the room we had looked out onto Palazzo Strozzi and had a good bit of light and a very large bathroom, so was most pleasant. There is a charming sitting room with a very English feel. Our room had a tea kettle and tea bags, which would have been nice, had we wanted a cup of tea before breakfast (in the English fashion) or before bed. The linens were excellent and Monica at the desk helped with dinner reservations and good advice on dining. The location is, of course, excellent, within easy walking distance of all major sights. If I could afford it, I'd stay for several months!
