Meridiana - Florence, Italy 

"Perfect little spot"

This hotel is the perfect spot if you are looking for something in the 3* category that's clean, comfortable, friendly and convenient to all amenities and sights. We stayed here for 3 nights from 17th March. The rooms are small and basic but clean and sufficient for our needs. All of the staff was extremely friendly and helpful. The hotel is about 15 - 20 minute walk from the duomo and the rest of the sights in the centre of Florence. It is also close to the A1 and A11 exit if you are driving. There are plenty of car spaces outside the hotel too. I would stay here again if travelling to Florence or using Florence as a base to see the rest of Tuscany.

We used it as a base for the footaball stadium and the centre of the city. It was ideal as it was in centre of both.

We stayed here as part of the Cosmos Splendors of Italy tour. The hotels are average, probably 3-4 star European Ratig, probably a 2-3 start American Rating. we checked into the Meridiana, which was a nice hotel located about a 45 minute walk from the main attractions of Florence. Since we were tired, we decided to eat in the hotel that night, we had a casual dinner and went to bed really early. Dinner was just average. The hotel had a larger shower, allowing me to finally shave my legs and a full size bed. The room was again warm, and we had to sleep with the windows open. Since this hotel is located right on a main street, we had the opportunity to hear many fans cheering for a big soccer game that was going on. It was a little loud and our next door neighbor liked to sing very loudly out his window.
