The staff(Agnes,I think)was helpful and friendly. The Hotel is a great place to say if visiting Florence for more than 3 days. It is nice to have a kitchen and stay in a place that is more like an apartment than a regular hotel. The hotel is not as stylish as it looks in the pictures, at least not the unit I had (Galileo). The furniture needs updating (the sofa wasn't very attractive and looked dirty and old and the kitchen needed more utensils, plates, wine glasses... Overall, it was a pleasant experience regardless of the fact that I was a little disappointed with the interior design of my unit, but it has a great location and better than staying in a hotel. Oh, I couldn't get used to the european style bathrooms, those hand showers are not very practical, especially if there is not shower curtain.

If we'd known we were to have a palatial suite, we'd have invited a few friends to join us. In comparison with "central" hotels this is a winner. Shopping at the nearby Standa was one of the joys of two rather blas? travellers who find Florence stressful at any time of the year. That's when having a suite really is worth the extra.

A bit expensive, but absolutely beautiful apartment. We were five, and the sofa bed was not the most comfortable, but the bedrooms were well appointed. The decor, kitchen appliances, dishes, etc. were fantastic. The location was perfect. Very close to Santa Croce and the leather and gold shops. Great restaurants in the vicinity that were a very good price. The only shortcoming is that the people above us were very loud on our second evening, and between them and the noise of the street, it was very loud and very difficult to sleep. Overall an excellent place to stay.

We loved the accomodations. The rooms were spacious and the kitchen very functional. The bathroom was clean and had adequate space. The fresco on the ceiling was an additional nice touch. The only concern was a lack of staff during certain hours. Someone was there to greet us when we checked in and she was very nice, but there was nobody there (except the housekeeper, who was helpful) when we were checking out. Our train was not until the evening so we could not check our luggage. Someone was supposed to be there at 3:00 but did not show up. I felt sorry for several people trying to check in, no one was there. We enjoyed the room and hope to come back, just hope someone will be there!
