Hotel Balestri - Florence, Italy 

"Excellent room and Location"

Stayed 2 nites at the Balestri. Booked a double, asked for a river view on checkin and received a king bed with an additional daybed at no additional charge. Huge room with two windows overlooking the Arno. Great bathroom and hot shower. Immaculately clean. Balestri is not a block from the river, it is literally across the street. A block to the Uffizi, a few minutes to the Duomo. Breakfast buffet downstairs with lots of choices. Hotel was being remodelled; just put in a new elevator. But there was no construction noise at all. Dinner try Sasso di Dante, facing the Duomo. Don't miss Trattoria Icche Ce Ce nearby - fabulous family run restaurant, you feel like a personal guest.

Great location in Florence. Staff very helpful. Rooms clean and spacious. Our second visit to this hotel. Breakfast o.k. However, eggs and fresh fruit were an additional charge.

die angestellten an der reception waren sehr zuvorkommend und hilfsbereit.das hotel ist sehr gut gelegen.würde es wieder buchen.

Perfect hotel for the price, in perfect location...not in the middle of noisy tourism, but close enough to walk everywhere. Our room was quiet, not on the Arno side. The breakfast was typical, which means fair, although you could order eggs. Dining room service excellent. Front desk help spotty; rare was the friendly clerk, but we found this cool and indifferent treatment throughout Florence, not just at Balestri front desk.
