People were all very nice, and the breakfast was rather good compared to the Italian standard.
BUT the room was the smallest I have ever slept in : 2,3m x 1,8m + 1 sq.m. for the entrance. You can access your bed from one side only, and don't think about having large luggage. The bathroom is about 1 sq.m., including everything from toilet to shower (basically the bathroom IS the shower, with a shower nozzle on top of everything).
And much worse, it was so noisy that it was impossible to sleep from 6:30am: it was like trying to sleep in the middle of the kitchen where they were preparing breakfast.
As I was awake, I could enjoy the kitsch decoration of the room, detail I would normally not care about.
It is a shame with people obviously trying to do their best to welcome you, but what's the point going to a hotel where you cannot sleep? I have been to Firenze a dozen times, and you have plenty of better options nearby.
Touring Tuscany by train and chose this hotel for it's location near train station. Proved to be very good choice, easy walking distance to major sights, good restaurants, bars, and bus stops. Staff friendly and welcoming, would stay here again, value for money.
WONDERFUL!! helpful + polite receptionists!! Good location (very clsoe to the station and places to eat)!! only the room is not really quiet (becuase outside is the main street)
A senior couple travelling independently, we were much impressedby the friendly efficiency of Samantha , Salvatore and Luigi as reception staff. Willing friendly and able, set a model for others. Breakfast was excellent in clean, well-run setting. Directions from handy rail station clear and precise. Good location for good cheap food.
