Our stay was a surprise, after reading the rewiews!! Tha staff was so helpfull (we had a problem with our luggage and they helped us in any way!!!) and nice. Tha hotel is a standard 4-star with large rooms, good services, clean and situated in a beutiful location (great garden, even not in the historical center). The pool is ok to have a relaxing drink after a walking day!

On our hooneymoon. A very nice place to stay ! A nice starting point both for daytrips to Florence and nearby areas as Fiesole (on bicycles). The garden and swimmingpool was nice. And the hotel was very quiet.

As people have previously said the hotel is a little hard to find. (You take the bus number 10 to the Annunzio 7 stop. The bus driver is very helpful.) The hotel actually has a small sign on a brickwall and it is labeled the Gabrielle, the street name, but once you walk up the driveway it is a nice area. The staff was okay. Talking to them you got the feeling they did not understand you but they were able to get us tickets to the gallery with David for the next day. Every time you ask where a place is located it is 200 meters, that became our joke for the rest of the time. There is an excellant restruant up the hill, 200 meters, from the hotel, Osteria de PlaceRe that not only has great food but sevice was great and staff was very helpful in translating the menu to English. The atmosphere, if you took out the passing cars, was perfect. You do need to be aware when staying at this location that resturants nearby are limited and hours are normal italian hours, so it can be a little difficult to find a place to eat between 4 and 7pm. There is a pizaa place and a place with sandwiches with a little walk but they are really small shops and can be easily overlooked. The hotel was very quiet, the pool was nice, and the rooms were very large for Italian standards. You are a little ways from central Florence but we were able to leisurely walk to downtown from the hotel without fear in less than 30 minutes. The bus is the best way to get from the hotel to downtown but walking during the day is not a problem. Breakfast was fine, it was a little more than the average Italian breakfast and replenished frequently.

The hotel is located in a quiet environment (near the FIGC CTF of Coverciano) and it is well connected to the Santa Maria Novella railway Station (bus 10); perhaps it is a little bit far from the town center if you have a meeting there. Anyway, the stay is pleasant and the price/quality ratio very profitable.
