Hotel Calzaiuoli - Florence, Italy

We stayed in a double room at the Hotel. After our stay in Rome at an apartment it seemed very small...but the bathroom is quite large. Everything really was fine and the hotel is certainly centrally located. Using the internet at the hotel is VERY EXPENSIVE...find internet cafes instead. We had minimal contact with the front desk staff, but the servers at breakfast were very nice. Above adequate both for location and price. Wonderful view outside the window.

we were given a room that should never be used for humans, next to the elevator and the breakfast room. Clanging carts and nosy guests were right outside our room starting before 7 am. No wondered they neve4 asked how our room was.

Location in terms of being central, could not be better. Because of that however, in high season, I think it would be pretty noisy. The staff was wonderful & helpful, the rooms lovely. A perfect introduction to Florence.
