We thoroughly enjoyed our stay at the residence. The directions given to help find it were accurate and the owner/managers were more than helpful. Angela and Cherubin assisted us with travel advice, maps, internet connections, restaurant bookings, return of hire car and were always interested in where we had been and how we were faring during our 3 night stay with them. We travelled as a family of four adults, parents and 23 and 20 year old, and the adjoining apartments were more than adequate for our needs. Lovely juice, tea, coffee etc provided in rooms and plenty of water. Lovely place to stay. Nice restaurant close and others about 15-20 mins walk. Very highly recommended

We stayed at the Residence Michelangiolo in the amazingly Beautiful Florence Italy at the start of December 2007. This place is just a bus ride from the central train station and once you arrive there it is a beautifuly large house with great surrounds. The reception that we received when we got there and during our stay was amazing (any question was answered and always with a friendly face). The rooms are the largest in Europe and have a great kitchenette. Make sure you stroll up to the chruch on the hill (This churche was very old and had a mystique about it (We have already seen most of the major churches throughout Europe), where you can also see a copy of Michaelangelo's David in Copper. Amazing site seeing place of all of Florence (this view is not too be missed!). It only takes under 10 minutes to get there by foot (The pizza for 3 Euros below the chruch was fantastic). If you need to get into the city centre, the best thing to do is grab the bus from the Restaurant just up the road and than stop at any of the major tourist spots. Truely is an amazing city. Thanks again Residence Michelangiolo for a great stay in Florence (We will be back!). Too many more things to see and there is not a better place to stay in Florence. Fantastic hosts, great rooms and lovely ambience

The location was perfect for us because we walked or used the buses or cabs, however it is on the other side of the river and a couple of km from the centre of town. The property was exceptional - a lovely big room, high ceiling, airy and with a view onto the back garden. Everything reported about Angela and her partner is true - knowledgeable, firendly and welcoming. We stayed five nights and could have stayed a month. The local restaurents were great fun, relaxed, not full of tourists and good value. If you have a car the location and parking facilities are ideal. A really great experience.

An ideal Florence hotel

An ideal location, offering free parking in the garden surrounding the villino that houses the hotel, close to public transportation, and with quite good restaurants and shopping nearby. Spacious room, with almost 5 meter ceiling, and an adequate and extremely welcome kitchenette, and a comfortable king-size bed. Internet connection, too. The staff is very pleasant, accommodating, and helpful, and Angela is a charming and well-informed hostess. We''ll surely book with them again, and strongly recommend Residence Michelangiolo. A presto!
