The Hotel Lovere is certainly not luxurious - just a nice 3 star. Although it is facing onto the road there is a noisy road infront of the hotel and a silly lampost that is never on anyway spoiling the view (as is the dreadful awful abyssmal police and fire building in the middle of town!!! - it wants burning down but I reckon the perpertrator of such an act might be caught straight away and the flames extinguished before too much harm could be done. shame.) Our hotel room was only 90 euros including breakfast and was very large with a sitting area, fridge, tv etc. There was only a shower rather than a bath in the bathroom but it was ok. The staff were friendly but the breakfast wasn't up to much. A croissant and a pot of yoghurt and a coffee if you were lucky. Lovere itself is a nice little town apart from a couple of blots on the landscape. We had a nice trip into the mountain villages and a good look around the old town which is only a few streets back from the lake. The drive down the Bergamo side of the lake is spectacular.
