Hotel Clarean - Naples, Italy 

For starters, Clarean was very clean and has a great bathroom complete with jacuzzi, blessedly cold air-con on a hot month like July. On top of that, the service was amazing and the staff very friendly. Antonio greats you every morning with a big smile and gets you your choice of coffee or capuccino, and fresh pastry. He is ever ready to tell you the most economical way to get around the city or outside of it. Both Antonio and Marco are always friendly and willing to help you, be it opening your bottle of wine or late check-out, change of flight on the internet etc. One evening, the light in the bathroom went out and I was debating if I should take a shower first while waiting as my experience tells me that it will take forever for these things to get fixed. To my surprise, they turned up within 3 minutes and fixed it with great politeness and apology for it. The location is unbeatable!! I stayed at sorrento to venture out to Pompeii and the nearby sights, but really regretted it as it would have taken a lot less time to stay in Naples and visit from it. The hotel is just minutes walk to every form of transport imagineable. and yet well insulated that you don't get greatly disturbed by the noise of the street.
