The hotel was much better than i originally expected after reading quite a few bad reveiws about the noise pollution. It was in a great location, right by the beach and had great views of the Santa Barbara Castle.
Our first two nights we had a room on the second floor and got little sleep because of the noise from the street at night time. So we asked if we could move to a room higher up in the hotel and the staff were really helpful and gave us a great room with a balcony and a queensize bed, as opposed to the double bed we had in the previous room. They didn't charge any extra for this and were really apologetic.
It was our first time to Spain so didn't know much of the language or much to do in the area but the staff were extremely helpful, giving tips on where to dine etc. They spoke very good English and were really polite.
The rooms were a good size and were very clean. The first room we stayed in had a prety big bathroom with a lovely big bathtub. But the second room had a smaller bathroom but made up for this with the lovely balcony overlooking the town square below and with excellent views of the castle and a huge bed.
The gym was a bit pathetic so i only spent a maximum of half an hour in there each time before getting bored. It was nice to sit on the bike whilst looking out to the castle though. They have a sauna which was also quite small but we were the only ones that tended to use it so the size wasn't too much of an issue.
I would stay here again and would recommend it because it was very good for the price we paid.
