The Athens Atrium Hotel & Suites is located in the center of Athens, on 1st Okeanidon Street, in a friendly and quiet surrounding just outside the downtown alternate circulation zone. The hotel is close to Syngrou Avenue and the historic Agios Sostis Church, just two kilometres from the center of the city. At a close proximity, about 300 meters, there are bus stops, the Metro-Underground station (Syngrou - Fix Station) as well as the tram stop.

From the Hotel, using the bus or tram, you can visit Plaka, the oldest and most picturesque neighbourhood of Athens. I was charmed by TripAdvisor's description of Athens Atrium as located in a residential area and off the beaten path. I was even game for the 'distance' and up for the public transportation and walking involved. However, it really was quite a distance. It took us a good 45-60 minutes to get in and out of Athens. While it was nice to return to the hotel after a long day, I would only recommend this place if you plan on staying in Athens for at least 4-5 days. It takes a day or two to get the hang of the metro/bus and to locate the hotel (especially at night!) We were only staying 3 nights and before we figured everything out, we had to turn around and leave! The hotel was definitely nice enough- clean, helpful desk, good basic breakfast, nice AC. Be sure to buy a bus ticket before you leave the metro- the kiosk near the bus stop by the hotel was not very helpful and refused to give us tickets!!

This Hotel is beautiful and is just 2 stops from Syntagma(centre of athens).The stop you get of at is on the red line at Syngrou-"Fix".From there it is only a 10 minute walk to the hotel.Staff are friendly, Rooms are spacious and modern and for a 4 star hotel a double room the price is very reasonable(?160 for 2 nights) Anyone travelling to Athens must and should stay at this hotel!!!!
