My wife and I who are in our early forties stayed here for 12 days and we were very impressed with it. The location is excellent being only 5 minutes walk from the nearest restaurants. There are a number of good ones in Kensington place which is just at the end of the road and we particularly enjoyed the indian restaurant Cafe Spice and Aroma's where the staff in both were particularly friendly and the food delicious. We did not eat in the hotel itself except for breakfast which was served buffet style help yourself but very fresh and of a high quality. The menu on display for evening meals did not appeal to us and never changed from one day to the next(don't know if this was just a sample though but Woodpidgeon pate speaks for itself!). The staff were all very friendly and helpful and anything you asked for was never a problem. We stayed in the balcony suite and the room was tastefully decorated with a large balcony which allowed you to sit or sunbathe on the loungers provided. The TV had british channels and had teletext. The maid came in every day and tidied up and made your bed. The lounge in the hotel foyer had newspapers and free internet access as well as some books which you could read for free which was a nice touch. It also had a small fully equiped gym and an outdoor swimming pool. The only down sides were the prices in the bar which we thought were a bit steep (?3.50 for a 500ml bottle of Magners but you could buy a litre bottle for ?3.59 in Safeway). Also being opposite the police and fire station meant you heard the sirens every time they left the stations. Must see things to do were a visit to the Jersey War tunnels and the zoo which were both a very good day out for just under a tenner per adult.

We arrived at the hotel during the May Half term, the service we gained from the staff was excellent, there was a wide selection of choice for breakfast but one disadvantage was the evening meals as it was an a la carte meal and we dont really like these types of meal but on the other hand we had a very enjoyable stay whilst at the hotel Savoy. The rooms were very spacious and they were spotless when we arrived. Another thing that was good about the hotel was that it was near the town of St Helier only about 15mins walk so the hotel has good accessibilty as also there is a bus stop near by that takes you across many parts of the island. I would strongly recommend you stay at this hotel if you enjoy good customer service. Overall i give 9/10 for the hotel
