This is the first time I have stayed at a formule1 hotel. I will happily stay in another one. They are cheap, clean and basic and everywhere. The standard of the room was the same as a private room in a youth hostel. They are completely charmless, so you couldn't base your whole holiday at one, but if you are traveling france on a budget, you can't do much better than 31 euros a night for a room. The one in ferney is attached to the novotel, so you have full access to the bar, pool, restaurant, tennis court, garden, you just have to sleep in your slightly cruddy room instead of the nice novotel room, saving 100 euros in the process. Go for it!
