My wife and i stayed in this hotel with our 6 month old son for one night in June 2008. On arrival we thought that the hotel was in need of a paint and took a walk on the beach while the sun was out before entering with trepediation. All our concerns were eliminated with the very warm welcome we received from the receptionist and the other staff. We had not pre-booked a travel cot and it was brought up to our room immediately by 3 of the staff who could not do enough for us. They were obviously very child friendly in the hotel. We had a lovely meal that night in the hotel with an excellent menu that was good value. The bar which is part of the hotel also had no problem with prams and we had a few relaxing drinks before and after our meal. In summary great location with beautiful sea views and good value with very friendly staff. Downfalls - Breakfast tables not set properly and no Mushrooms! PS Watch out for the powerful shower!!!!!!!!!!1

This is a good middle of the road three star hotel with a couple of four star qualities like location and fine dining. Yes, the interior is a little dated but it is clean and comfortable and the only crib we had was some noisy plumbing. It may be a little dearer than it should but you are on the ring of kerry and you can expect to pay for this - if you have just played golf in Waterville it will seem cheap. There is also a bloody good chef at work in the kitchen, I had as good a piece of john dory as ever came out of the atlantic, and all the more pleasurable for being served by very pleasant staff - there are not many left like Mary Jo!
