Harbour Mill - Westport, Ireland 

I am just back from the harbour mill apartments and I advise you to not go there if there is a group of you getting more than one apartment. I went with a group of girls on a hens (They advertise saying they welcome hens and stags parties).and we had a few apartments and one was the penthouse. I know once you hear hens you think noisey but We are not a roudy group of girls, we went back to the penthouse apartment about 2.30 am 4 a nitecap on the first nite and the porter was straight up tellin us to get out of the room that we were only aloud in our own rooms that we were sleeping in. When one of the girls tried explaining that we were having a quiet drink the porter got abusive with her and was pointing into her face. The next nite we met up with other people that were staying there and we went back to their apartment 4 a drink and within half an hour the porter was at the door with the gaurds!!!!!! We were not running around the grounds making a disturbance or damageing property and when the gaurds asked us to leave we left straight away and returned to our own apartments, the gaurds were very nice about it but the next day the hen was told that the manager and staff were goin to hold a meeting about our behaviour and that they were keeping our deposit of 850 euro!!!!! They have since rang her to say that they will not be returning our deposit, I have to say that is the most expensive nightcap i have ever had!!!!!!!!!!!!

I have just returned from a weekend away at the Harbour Mill, what a fantastic place. The apartments are roomy and spotless, the staff are always cheerful and helpful and cannot do enough for you. The surrounding area is beautiful, I managed to get half way up Croagh Patrick, not bad for a first attempt (I am told). When I got back I soaked in the Jacuzzi for an hour, Bliss. I shall be returning soon
