Stayed one night in room 10, each room is individual styled. My room had a chandelier, very comfortable bed, bath / shower, wired Internet and TV. Room is next to the hot water cylinder which was a down side and without ear plugs would have disturbed me, but i came well prepared and slept like a log. Breakfast is OK, but i think this could be improved. Staff weren't quite as attentive at breakfast as I'd have liked and coffee did take five minutes. Ate lunch in the restaurant and can't recommend the food highly enough. The hotel has just won and award from using local food and this shows in the quality, taste and presentation - all excellent.

We recently stayed in Edam at at the Damhotel because La Fortuna was booked. We loved Edam and had a fantastic time at the Damhotel. The hotel is recently refurbished. Every room has a different theme and the attention to detail is sumptuous. Food and wine were excellent and fairly priced. Management were charming as were the waitstaff in the restaurant, despite us showing up to dinner with our 2 and a half year old! I wish we had stayed another night instead of going to Brugge which was much, much more touristy and bad value compared with the Damhotel! Highly recommend. La Fortuna looked lovely too, sadly it was all booked up!
