Theofano Hotel - Paphos, Cyprus 

have stayed in the Theofano prior to this year and really enjoyed the hotel, location and staff. however this year it was a tad different. the hotel had been closed for approx. 4 months and had only re-opened 5 days before we arrived. the staff were as friendly and helpful as always but the general feeling was that as the owners were trying to sell the hotel they didn't know if they were going to have a job in the future or not. The hotel itself was starting to show signs of tiredness and was starting to look a little bit shabby. There was also a feeling generated that somehow if you were not there with the saga company you were somehow slightly second class.certain rooms were only for saga clients use and a seperate library the same. we are looking to go back to cyprus next year however we are going to try somewhere different

I was going to write a really long review about this hotel but I will not as I found out in the second week of my stay there why the place was so shabby. Apparently it is going to be sold off for student accommodation at the end of the 2007 summer season. Hence the reason nothing has been done to it for about 3 years. Do not bother going to this hotel even on a last minute deal
