The hotel Davanzati is located right next to the Museo di palazzo Davanzati, in the historical center of Florence. An ideal location close to all major attractions of the city and only 200 meters from the central station. The structure is an ancient typically Florentine building but still offers all of the modern comforts, as well as a quiet and relaxing atmosphere. A bar and welcoming public areas, furnished in warm colours, contribute to make the holiday of our guests unforgettable. Only a few meters from the hotel it is possible to admire the beauties of Ponte Vecchio, Piazza della Signoria, the Uffizi Gallery and the Duomo with the famous Campanile di Giotto. The hotel offers 2 computers and Internet connection at the reception and the staff gladly helps its guests with car rental, theater, train and flight tickets, guided tours and visits to museums and day trips.

We stayed at Hotel Davanzati for 3 nights during a 10 day trip to Florence and Tuscany. We found this hotel through tripadvisor and the reviews speak for themselves. No need to repeat what everyone has already said, but we couldn't have been happier with our choice to stay here.
The hotel is beautiful, but what really puts it over the top is the service. Fabrizio and Tomosso are friendly and warm and are more than happy to make all of your reservations for you, from dinners to museums. (And definitely take advantage of this for the museums ahead of time - we walked right into all the major ones while others waited on lines of 4+ hours.) All of their suggestions were top notch - definitely try the pizza at the restaurant on the corner diagonally opposite the hotel. It was the best pizza we had the whole trip!

Surely this should be kept secret as nothing this good should be advertised too much ........Well this has to be the best option around for most people ......perfectly located within minutes of the centre, the Uffizzi and the Duomo. The hotel is very welcoming and Fabrizio and Tomasso make your stay very easy with all the useful information you could ask for . The rooms are perfect , the beds comfortable , Dvd , laptop and PS2 , the list is endless and then.........at 6.30 the lights are dimmed and happy hour commences where you are invited to join other guests to taste bruschetta with the hotel's own trademark sauce, prosecco and music .
We have stayed in a few hotels around the world but this is one that will remain a very pleasant memory.
