I stayed at hotel Colomba 2 nights ago with my family and we absolutely adored it! The location is perfect, 2 minutes from the Duomo, the leather market, the David and other sites. The rooms were VERY large, so comfortable and nicely air conditioned. The wireless is free which is a HUGE bonus. We felt very safe staying there, as there is staff in the lobby 24/7. Most importantly, the staff was unbelievable. We were truly sad to say goodbye because the family was so good to us. They went out of their way to make us feel at home, gave us directions to multiple requests and chatted with us when we were hangin around the lounge area. It was so refreshing seeing their faces each time we entered the hotel, it was an escape from the frustrations of travel. It was truly a joy staying there and it would be a pleasure to go back and stay at Hotel Colomba again.
The Pade's :)

Just got back with my wife from a two week vacation in Italy. We stayed at Florence for four nights. Rossana and Sabrina were really helpful. Rooms were clean and nice. I twisted my foot while walking in Rome and Rosanna was very helpful in providing ice and caring for me. Very personal nice warm touch which you would not find in any hotel. Sabrina was helpful in providing suggestions on tours and places of interests. They are really nice people and you should go ahead and strike up a conversation with them. Location was very good too. Near to station and major important places of interests. Free WIFI access and also free terminal in passageway for internet access. Rossana's hubby was also very nice and caring. My trip was made much better even though I hurt my foot while walking in Rome and swell my foot, thanks to their care and concern.
