Boutique Hotel Club Da Baia - Brenzone, Italy 

It was my plan to write earlier but better late than never. My girlfriend and I went to the Garda-lake for 1 week of vacation. The plan was 1 week of Kitesurfing for me and tennis for my girlfriend. If possible we like to stay in boutique design hotels so we chose the Club da Baja because the beautiful photos on the website and the kite-surf school and hotel in one.. On arrival we were welcomed by the friendly owner and led to our sober but stylish room. The rooms have no airco but we had big doors opening towards the little harbor we could open at night. All week we didn't have any wind and this ruined our kite-week. The instructors can not do much about this but their lack of decision making led to that we never tried to 'just go on the water and try' resulting in other schools picking some hours of surfing time while we were waiting on shore. But this is not the main reason why we will never come back to this hotel! During the week the instructors had the habit to go party in town and come back to the hotel at 4 or 5 in the morning while screaming and laughing loud while standing in front of the hotel. With the open doors of our room it was impossible to sleep and annoyed the heck out of us. Than the last night of our stay, we had 1 afternoon of good kite-surf practice and the next day we had to drive very early to Milan for our flight. At midnight we went to bed to have about 5 hours of sleep. Than during a deep sleep the noise started again but this time with about 10 people and 1 of them started driving a Piaggio Ape 3-cycle car in circles on the square in front of the hotel. (the owner don't live in the hotel so didn't know about this). The engine noise of the 3-cycle was so loud that for an hour we could fall asleep again. Than that morning we overslept because We both were so tired we didn't hear the alarm. We barely made the flight but had a bitter aftertaste after leaving this hotel. Next time we try further up north of the lake. More wind and better service.
