Wow Italy is truly Beautiful! My wife and I visited Baia Domizia Italy recently and stayed at the Domizia Palace Hotel. We are from Canada and this was our first visit to Europe(Italy). We flew from Toronto to Venice, had a stopover there for a hour, then flew to Rome. It was a two hour bus ride to Baia Domizia from Rome. Here are some suggestions if you travel there in the future.1.Pay the extra and fly direct to Naples or Rome, don't do the Venice to Rome "stopover thing". The flight is long enough without it! 2. Find out who speaks English fluently at Domizia Palace Hotel, (so that you understand everything completely) because the staff that do are few in number!(Find one of the managers-they are great!) 3.Bring your own beach towel and face cloths, bathing caps are mandatory in the pool! 4.The showers in the bathrooms are VERY SMALL, so if you are a big person taking a shower is tricky! 4. The hotel restaurant offers a good selection of food but tends to be similar every day(there are several grocery stores within walking distance if your want a cheap wholesome alternative). 5. Our package provided breakfast and dinner (excluding drinks at dinner time). All drinks cost extra including, water, to the annoyance of my wife! 6. Try the tours being offered by the hotel , if you are a first- timer like we were, they are great! 7. Visit the small towns that are near Baia Domizia such as Formia, or Caserta(great flea market shopping in Formia). Would we go back to Italy? YOU BET!! Marvel at the beautiful scenery, enjoy youself and hopefully we have given a few helpful pointers!!

The Resort is very nice and clean. The beach is exceptional with pergolas, and umbrellas everywhere. The room we had was a corner room and very small, the balcony was very small with a round table taking up most of it.
The tours were not what we thought they would be, and this was one of biggest disappointments of the trip. We went to Italy to see the historical sites, and this was not done to our satisfaction.
We have travelled to many destinations, and Never have we had to pay entry fees on top of the tour. We had booked others, but after we went to Pompeii, we cancelled the rest. Beware that the tour prices do not include meals or entry fees. The tour guide narrates in four languages and English was the poorest, and not as compre hensive as the other three. The tour guide that showed us around Pompeii was very good, but since he had to do it in two languages, it took more time, and we did not see half as much as we could have. The trip to Rome, does not stop at the Colosseum, but drives by, just in case anyone wants to go in.
We took the taxi into Formia, the price was reasonable if you have a group and there is a market place, and some shops and also a little museum and a nice park on the water. There is also McDonalds, which was a treat after a week of buffets. The meals were o.k., but not like pictured in the brochure.
It is possible to take a bus to Naples, and you can catch it at the supermarket, taking the left turn after you leave the hotel. We met some wonderful people. Most of the tourist are French, German or Italian, and little English is spoken.
The Hotel does not let you take the towels from the rooms and do not supply Beach Towels, so be sure to bring one, or you can purchase from the Supermarket for 10 Euro.
