Good hotel, central, cleen. Nice and gentile staff. I would like to see a more consistent breakfast. Tip - from and to the rail station or airport take only the shuttle called "airbus". you have it every 15 minutes and is very cheap and near the hotel.

This place had a lower price than other 3-star hotels, and it’s likely due to the fact that it’s in a seedy area. The directions on venere said it was “near the train station” but in reality it’s a 10 minute walk. We arrived at night – not a good idea. We went down “Via Malcontente” (the street of miscontent), past 2 “novelty” shops that sold leather/lace clothing for those “unique occasions”, a mural with two rear ends magnified, past some riff raff that were staring at us, until we finally arrived at Hotel Holiday. I was traumatized. There is an easier way to get here! Instead, go down Via Independenzia, make a left at Righi, and then a right at the *second* small street (The first street is Via Malcontente). Make a left at the next street, and you will immediately see the hotel. This avoids most of the seediness, but the riff raff will still see you for a short block. This place did grow on us after 3 nights staying here. The first night was a bit of a shocker. If you separate the neighborhood from the hotel, the hotel itself is fine and is a European 3-star hotel that is fairly priced (shower stall, no bathtub, tablecloths for towels). You do get what you pay for. One word of caution – they turn off the air conditioning at night – so open the windows!! We didn’t know this the first night and as a result, my boyfriend got a heat rash. If you’re staying during a super-hot month or bordering the hot months, be sure to find out what their policy is, and don’t stay here if you need A/C. We would not return to this hotel for this reason – we can’t certain that we’d be comfortable temperature-wise.
