My husband, myself and our two teenage sons stayed here for three nights in mid-June 2008. We loved it! We had two adjoining rooms set apart in a little wing which felt very private. My sons had a huge room with a sitting area and an elaborate bathroom but the room looked out on a rock wall ... however, they didn't mind at all. My husband and I were upgraded to a beautiful view of the countryside. It was a smaller, simpler room but we loved the view of the garden and hills in the distance. The rooms were very clean and well-maintained. The bed and linens were wonderful. The staff was friendly and very helpful. We did not eat in the restaurant ... it looked a little too elegant for how we were feeling. Instead, we walked 3-5 minutes into the heart of the ancient medieval hill town where there were quite a few restaurants which ranged from edgy, modern gourmet settings to very traditional and rustic fare. The grounds and gardens are immaculately maintained. It was overcast and drizzly when we were there so we were not able to sit outside and enjoy the views. But we loved seeing all the colorful flowers and shrubs as we walked to our room. I highly recommend the Hotel Villa Cipriani!

May 2008. Garden facing deluxe room 3rd floor (top). Booked using SPG points which is a good value. Originally booked inner facing room, but was upgraded for free on check-in. HOTEL is beautiful, exudes the charm of your favorite B&B combined with the luxury you would expect of an upscale boutique hotel. Gardens are the centerpiece of the hotel, and are absolutely gorgeous (and keep in mind, we went when it was raining!). SERVICE. Front desk service is friendly and professional, porter and valet parking fast and efficient. Housekeeping was amazing. We leave the room for 30 mins and come back to a clean room! ROOMS. We were very happy with our garden facing deluxe room. Looking at the hotel room layout, ours was probably the largest room in the hotel, about the size of a standard American hotel room. Cozy feeling with queen size bed, love seat and 2 arm chairs, armoire, dresser. Bathroom was very charming, country feeling, tub/shower might be a bit small for some, we didn't mind it. Bed was comfortable and we slept well. LOCATION. Excellent, centrally located inside the hill town of Asolo - what a great way to experience living in an Italian hill town. Many excellent family restaurants nearby for your meals, a market just up the street less than 5 mins walk for your supplies. 1 hr from Venice, 1.5 hrs from Verona. Roads to the hotel a bit tricky, but we had GPS which saved the day. CAUTIONS. Hotel restaurant is very nice looking, one of those places you splurge at. However, it was probably our worst meal in 10 days in Italy. Undercooked risotto (is this even possible in Italy?), bland flavors, possible just bad luck or our personal taste, but I still wouldn't recommend it to my friends. Recommend restaurant in the hotel Albergo Al Sole as an alternative if interested in a special occasion dinner. We overheard a man complaining to the front desk one morning about hearing excessive noise from upstairs neighbors walking around in their room. He checked out that day. I mention this only b/c we were on the top floor, and it might be worth considering for those accustomed to absolute silence. CONCLUSION. Loved everything about this hotel, the price was right (SPG points), I would go back again to Villa Cipriani, Asolo is a beautiful town, only caveat is next time I will stay away from the hotel restaurant.
