AC Arezzo - Arezzo, Italy     

We stayed last Xmas at the AC in Barcelona, Spain and were really impressed with the facilities, food, staff and service - so when we booked this one we expected something matching up, but I have to say we were disappointed. The aircon didnt work (Italy's hot even in Oct.), the staff were a little vacant, and service was really patchy - you could easily be ignored in the lounge for half an hour. The hotel is situated in an industrial estate, which is ludicrously termed an 'artisan village' in the publicity! But - the food was really good, its pretty stylish, and if you're a business traveller in a car its probably a great bet, but for a tourist you're too far from the centre and probably after something a little more personalised.

Stayed for one night at the AC Arezzo. The room and the bathroom were very modern, clean and nicely furnished. The hotel was almost empty (we arrived on a sunday late afternoon) and it felt pretty strange. The staff were not really helpful and barely polite. The breakfast was OK but the coffee was almost cold and the waiter was nowhere to be found and we had to drink it that way. Finally, a word about the location: if you don't have a car, don't stay here. Otherwise it's just a ten minutes ride to the city.
