Quite a nice hotel. We had three of us stay in a one bedroom suite with kitchen facilities and there was plenty of room. Breakfast was reasonable, the front desk staff (except for the guy who seemed to have a attitude problem) were excellent, knowledgable and very helpful. The room was clean and tidy, had a incredibly nice shower. The only issue was the room was a bit warm even with the heaters off but an open window fixed that. THe location is really good. Would stay there again.

Positives: For somewhere as prohibitively expensive as Iceland, the rates are comparable to most of Western Europe, the rooms are very clean, quiet and warm, the location is superb for central Reykjavik, and at least from the front of the hotel are very good indeed, looking over the bay Negatives: The front desk is almost always besieged by people or coach parties, although the lady on the desk does her best! The rooms are a little cramped, although for what you are paying it's not too bad, there is plenty to see and do in Reykjavik to keep you out of the hotel anyway. The breakfast is a little basic, unless you like pickled herring, which I do, but then it's not to everyones taste!
