We recently stayed at the Nordica after moving there from another hotel that was rather disappointing. The hotel is clean and modern and has an excellent restaurant (VOX) where the breakfast buffet is also served. Rooms are comfortable, and stylish. My one real complaint is that the gym/spa on premises requires a $30 day fee which is not mentioned anywhere in the hotel information. Overall, a very pleasant stay.

An Outstanding Hotel

The Nordica is clean, comfortable, and well managed. It was by far the best hotel I stayed in when visiting Iceland. Staff was frienndly and helpful (but then, so are most people you will meet in Iceland). They serve a great breakfast buffet! Hotels outside Reykjavik tend to be spartan, so if you plan to move around treat yourself to some creature comfort while you can.

The hotel is modern, airy, beautifully decorated. Hotel room was superb, huge, clean, carefully arranged, with a big, comfy bed; also big bathroom, flat TV screen and free wireless access. It is not located in the city centre. Views are noteworthy as the hotel is located in an industrial area. There is a shuttle bus that goes to the city 4 times a day. You can also walk (25 minutes) but there is no a nice one, just goes through a street package with cheap fast food restaurants and car dealers. There is also a parking in the premises for the guest. It is good value for money. Recommended.
