Hotel Reykjavik - Reykjavik, Iceland 

Comfortable, friendly but small rooms

This is the second hotel I stayed at during my trip to Iceland, this hotel was part of a business conference package. Everything was fine, good front desk service, clean rooms, breakfast ok selection of meat, cheese, fish. Bar and dining area combined. My single room was very small a bit like well appointed student accommodation. All the furnishings, and facilities were very good. I had a balcony (on third floor) but views were of inner court yard. Hotel is within walking distance of the cathedral (very impressive contemporary architecture). The walk into town was about 20 minutes and the hotel faces a local housing estate.

Good Location

This hotel doesnt have much character but is in a good location for dining out. The staff are helpful and friendly which always makes a stay. We were lucky enough to get a free upgrade to a suite so it would be unfair of me to comment on the rooms but everything was clean and in good condition. Breakfast provides a good selection. I think this hotel is in a good position and slightly better value than others in the area. We didnt get a chance to visit their restaurant and may have missed out.
