Hotel Floki - Reykjavik, Iceland

Normally don't rant in these things, but sorry Floki Inn we were very disappointed. The double room we were allocated did not resemble the photographs at all. It was a very small room, with about 300mm between the two single beds - barely enough space to walk! (curiously the room was shown as a single on the fire plan...) It was also an extremely noisy room, we could hear every door opening into the corridor and the walls were so thin we could hear the people in the room next to us talking. Pretty disappointing and very expensive for what we got. We found much better, and cheaper, accommodation in the city centre for our last night in Reykjavik. Wish we had booked there in the first place. I would not recommend Floki Inn to others.

We had an excellent stay at Floki. Rooms were tidy and clean (though small) and the price was unbeatable. It was at least 35% cheaper than anything else we found online, and an Icelandic friend thought the price was unbeatable for Reykjavik. The location is on the outskirts of downtown, so most attractions are within walking distance. Employees were courteous and helpful. Facilities were always spotless.
