For our first visit to Venice this place was perfect for a one night stay. Location for water taxi access from airport was excellent (make sure you alight at San Zaccaria); hotel is two minutes walk. Within 2 minutes of San Marco this place has got one of the best locations for the short visit tourist. Reception was friendly, rooms clean though basic, bathroom amenities limited but in-line with a Euro 3*** standard. The chap at reception directed us to a resturant mainly frequented by locals and we had a great dinner without the tourist prices. Breakfast was not much to write about, coffee was disappointing (considering we are in Italy) but again service was good and the place clean. Check their website for details - it is worth visiting. Highlight of the experience, location and by far friendly service!

I stayed at the hotel for 4 nights prior to a cruise. The hotel was easy to reach by public transportation. The hotel is near the Zaccaria motor-boat station. Even though the room was small, we had a view of the canal from the street. The shower was quite adequate. The buffet breakfast that is served daily downstairs was average. The hot chocolate was exceptional. The staff was friendly, but lacked major knowledge of the english language. The location can't be beat! Near the Piazza San Marco and there are many places to eat along the street. I would definitely stay here again just because of the location.
