We stayed at the Premier Inn for one night before a flight to Switzerland. Excellent rooms (clean, very comfortable, nice amenities) for the price. Free shuttle to the airport. Highly recommended.

We stayed here many, many times when it was the Tulip Inn. The only complaint we had then was that the food was bad and a bit overpriced... otherwise, it was great. We visited a few weeks ago for the first time since it became a Premier Inn, and found lots of changes for the worse. First, the menu in the restaurant is now so expensive we didn't even bother testing the food. Second, they've replaced toilet paper rolls in the bathrooms with dispensers that give you tiny little sheets of toilet paper (like in some public restrooms). Third, the price went up by ten euros on weekends. Finally, they number of TV channels was dramatically decreased, and both the news channels were "out of service" the night we were there. The hotel no longer has smoking rooms: it's all non-smoking now. Don't know if that's good news or bad news. I think these petty economies have made what was a really good hotel rather chintzy. Thankfully, they still have some of the best showers you'll find in Ireland: very powerful and they stay hot for as long as you need water.
