Myself and my girlfriend returned yesterday from a 5 night break at Fels point. Overall I would have to say that the hotel cannot be faulted, location wise its easily accessible from the N21/N22 main road into Tralee. Once you enter the hotel you can see immediately that the hotel is well kept, and very modern. We had a superior room which was tastefully decorated and kept very clean by the staff. My only little niggle was the fact that our room (124) was located by the main road, so of a night it was a little noisey if we left the window slightly ajar.
Overall though the hotel is great, the restaurant area is very nice with even a grand piano seating area. To be honest we didnt spend too much time eating or drinking in the hotel, as I suspected that the hotel was not that cheap (15.95 EUR for a breakfast, or 12.95 EUR for a continental breakfast), however the afternoon tea and scones were reasonable enough and I would reccommend that you check out the health suite and gym.
I would have no hesitation reccomending a stay in this hotel, just make sure you get B&B included in your stay as for the price we paid it did seem very expensive not to have breakfast included.

Overall I would say our stay at Fels Point was a pleasant one but it wasn't without its problems. First up I rang reception as we approached the hotel for directions. I asked for the exact address as we were using satnav but she said that was "too difficult to explain" and after a conversation about the intricacies of the Tralee one way system I was left confused but we found it in the end. It turned out to be beside a major road and this caused our next problem.
Our room overlooked this road and even with the windows tightly shut there was no escaping the constant drone of traffic speeding past which gave the place a feel of a roadside service station instead of the relaxing atmosphere we were hoping for.
Having rung down initially to ask for a change of room to one overlooking the courtyard we were told they'd come back to us. After 20 minutes we rang down again to be assured in half an hour they'd come back to us. After half an hour my partner went down in person and then they were very helpful but it took a bit of pushing. There was a wedding reception on at the time so this may have distracted from our problems.
After that in fairness everything went smoothly. We weren't made to feel like divas for wanting a room change and the rooms themselves are well laid out with modern decor. Once we got away from the road the room was lovely and peaceful so I would strongly advise when booking to specify this. We used the gym facilities (well just the sauna and steam room) and on a Friday evening it was quiet and a good place to chill out.
It was about a 15 minute walk into the town centre which was fine, but looking back at the website which boasts country views I feel that that was inaccurate to say the least. I would say the hotel had a bit of a corporate feel to it (I guess that's obvious if it offers corporate facilities but some hotels are better at losing that feeling) and if I had my time again I might try somewhere different. But if that doesn't bother you then this is a place worth looking into.
