Well, it hard to believe its the same hotel judging by the other reviews, but I've stayed twice so far this year, and would go back for more! Both stays were for two nights with an evening meal. First stay in February, my husband and I had a large spotlessly clean room, own immaculate bathroom, and living room/kitchenette. Our children (8&12) had their own large room and bathroom. The kitchen had a good size sink, fridge with a small amount of freezer space, plates, bowls, knives, forks etc. Extractor fan (if you're staying for a week and can't eat out all the time, bring a george foreman!) and lots of counter space. Huge amount of space overall. If I had known the accommodation was going to be as good, I would've stayed longer. Food on the first stay was just alright, but having just come back from our second trip, it has improved 100%, more in keeping with a 4 star hotel. Location was right in the town centre, couldn't be better. Lots of car parking space. Not once did I hear any noise from outside, or from any of the other rooms. The pool was a little on the small side, but not overcrowded. And I will never forget relaxing in the warm outdoor hot tub, the cold atlantic mist falling on my face and the seagulls whirling overhead. All the while being able to see the kids inside in the pool. The gym seemed to be really well equiped too. We never had issues with the staff, all were well mannered. We didn't pay too much either, as we got good deals on both occasions.I'll be back again as soon as the credit card allows!

We stayed for two nights from, wed 2 to fri 4 july 08,on arrival it didnt seem to bad,,no one in reception,,then finally got the night bar man/stroke- porter who seemed a bit oiled up.The room was very small looking into a car park,,very noisey with fans going all night and early morning deliveries etc,,the rads where piping hot in hotel and it was 22 degrees out side,,we asked for them to be turned off,,no go!!Meal with the two night deal was desperate,,cold chicken strips and cold deep fried brie to start,,pork that had seen better days and v fatty,,and roast of the day,,prob from 1982,,the wine list was dull and lifeless,,no rose selection,,very over priced,,dont get the french white wine,,vinegar,,and embrassing to hand up,,and totally made me feel like the pork was worth eating,,,the watier knew it was a disaster and seemed to have experience with this,,offered me a salad,,yum yum,i declined. No atmosphere at all,,the young girls working in restaurant where v nice n friendly.Kennys across the road was a lovley bar,the only one with life at this time, with local v talented two man singers,,singing the blues etc,,bushy haired large guy,,big beard,,on a spainish guitar,,guy on a bass,v gd!We meet a really nice local guy home visting with his wife from USA,,and x NAM VETERAN
