We can call it a hotel, but I stayed there and felt it more as my crash-pad... in the good sense! The hotel staff were all extremely friendly, from the security personnel at the doors to the check-in and concierge staff and to the room service! The room was what can be expected of a hotel of this calibre... LUXURY! An internet wire available in room (unfortunately with a cost) keeps you connected to the on-goings in the world and at work, should you be of the workaholic type! The bathroom was, again, what you'd expect at a hotel of this calibre; clean, well-equipped and spacious. Room-service was quite promt with food-orders to the room and the wide variety available on the menu was high-quality. The breakfast-buffet is worth adding on when checking in. There's a plentiful variety and choice, ranging from the healthy to the not-so-healthy-but-yummy-stuff! It was well-attended by the staff who regularly check, maybe a tad too often, on how your breakfast experience is going... You can't fault them for being nice! The gym was quite decent; well-spaced out, fresh supply of towels freely available and maintained to high professionalism. The massage and saunas below the gym are great opportunities not to be missed! The pool is a great get-away. The staff-member on hand at the gym/sauna section was a very helpful and courteous character. Hotel location was something peculiar. It is in the Shmeisani area where there are many other Western-franchise hotels. Behind the Kempinski, there are a great number of restaurants within walking distance, ranging from fast-food to Turkish. In that sense, this is a good hotel to relax at. To access town, you need a taxi from here, although I'd recommend not using the taxis that are waiting in the hotel-parking (you can ask Concierge to call them). Good intentions aside, the prices of these taxis are relatively high and when I go again to this hotel in Amman this weekend, I'll be taking a walk down the street to the restaurant-area and catch a taxi from there. All in all, staff were friendly and courteous, rooms were great, food and hotel facilities were spotless and the overall experience was fantastic! I'm so glad my first stay in Amman was here!
