This used to be a pretty good hotel offering decent room at a reasonable price..
These days it seems the price is kind of right but the rest has slipped.. The rooms need a makeover and food is only ok..

Never stayed here but have eaten here with colleagues on several occasions in the Grill Room Restaurant. The food is very tasty and good sizeable portions. But the only major letdown is the rudeness of the Supervisor in the Grill room. A really snappy lady and exceptionally abrupt!! We went to the bar afterwards and she was serving there as well. As a result we decided to return to town where we went to the Queens Bar which was much friendlier with a lovely chatty lady behind the bar!!
Attitude to me is very important as I would like to be treated as I would treat people myself. Believe me if you want to be treated with rudeness of the highest order then the West County Hotel is your place!!
