This hotel is very much in need of a complete facelift and overhaul. It's really dated and old fashioned but it was clean.
I was on a girls weekend in dublin so we didn't spend much time in the room so as a place to sleep it was fine. My room was a reasonable size but my friends room was tiny. The bathrooms are tiny and the shower cubicle was very small.
The room was very dated but everything was clean and it was cleaned well each day. The staff were very helpful and obliging and the breakfast, whilst served in a dated dining room was excellent and well cooked.
The hotel did not appear to be noisy although I was not in myself until the wee hours.
The best thing is the absolutely central location as it was a few minutes walk home from any part of the city centre.
the stairs were extremely narrow with no lift and i was on the fourth floor.
I wouldn't stay here again if I could find somewhere else for a similar price but as a clan bed for the night in a spot on location it was more than adequate.
I would not recommend it for a romantic weekend
