What Travellers Like

  • Staff was very friendly and professional. We were upgraded (for no apparent reason) to a suite on the 6th floor which had fantastic sea views. The bars in the hotel were really nice and again the staff was excellent. It is right beside a DART (inter-city train) station and close to all amenities in Dun Laoghaire village. We are a professional couple in our mid to late 30s and many of our friends and family stayed on the same night. The breakfast room was nice and the fresh fruit and cereals were good. Would have given 5 out of 5 only it is slightly unfinished at the moment in that room service has not started, so not up to full swing.. Read review

  • From the amazing sense of arrival created by the welcoming staff to the exceedingly comfortable guest room, we enjoyed every moment of our stay. The staff made us feel as though we were their only concern. Their attentiveness was unmatched from the lovely housekeepers to the team in the lounge and bistro. The front desk was very accommodating to our requests and went out of their way to help us get reacquainted with the city.. Read review

  • We were tempted to use the pattern flyer service but having stayed in Dublin before, we knew that it would be easy to get a bus so we opted for a 3 day unlimited travel ticket instead. There is a bus stop at the end of the hotel drive and buses came every 15 minutes. It had a beautiful lobby entrance that was enhanced by the candlelit walkway. Our room was just as fantastic with great decor, flat screen plasma tv and lots of space. However, venturing out to the local bars and restaurants in Dun Loaghaire was equally good. The food was lovely and the atmosphere was great.. Read review

  • The reception area is very welcoming there is a nice area for afternoon tea. Reception staff are charming and helpful. The room was a good size, very comfortable bed with a memory foam mattress and duvet. Spotlessly clean bathroom and functioning flat screen TV. The gym is well equipped and they have a fabulous infinity pool, I am not a big swimming fan but this pool was so restful that I spent lots of time in it. There is also a spa available which I did not try. The location was ideal for me as I had a car and was within easy access to the Wicklow hills and the coast road. However there are a number of excellent restaurants within walking distance of the hotel. The food is very good, pretty presentation very tasty and fantastic service.. Read review

  • The room was beautiful and very comfortable. You can get the Patton Flyer Shuttle at the airport and be let off right in front of the hotel. It is a short walk to the DART station (into Dublin) and the town of Dun Laoghaire is a lot of fun! We didnt get a chance to use any of the spa or pool because we kept busy sight-seeing in Dublin. The staff was friendly, although sometimes not sure how much English they spoke.. Read review
