Arrived after trailing our luggage along the cobbled streets of Dublin after getting the wrong bus from the airport, however the friendly patrons of the Dub helped us find our hotel. Had to laugh when we saw the extremely steep flight of stairs leading up to the reception area as we had packed for 4 months instead of 4 days! However, exteremely relieved to find that we were on the first floor! (room 3 overlooking the Italian resturaunts bins!) Room was very warm so friend jumped onto the windowsill to open large sash window (thought she was going to fall to the bins below!) It was either smell of garlic or die from the heat! LOVED our room! we had a lovely tiny staircase (3 stairs) to our bathroom. We kept all our toiletries in our own wee hall/dressing room!! Beds were very comfy especially after drunken nights out and nappas in between tour-bussing it and touring bars at night. Didnt experience breakfast but since hearing of the custard doughnuts we shall indulge! We couldnt have got a better located hotel than this one! Step forward: temple Bar!!!!! Places to go ppl!!!!! Food: Charlies! lol (Chinese McDonalds!), lovely chinese round the corner across from castle cant remember the name!) Took us an hour to get there as we traipsed the city looking for a chinese!, Mexico to Rome - good but crap portions!, Italian downstairs from hotel really nice (and cheap! - no complaints about portions here!) However not mastered the breakfast places to our dismay will report back after January on that one!) Enjoyed orange juice (especially the glass bottles with little jokes on it) followed by a nappa cannot be beaten! Drink Places - Note - would recommend downing (our own concoction) vodka, peach snapps and a dash of 7-up in pink pint glass! before throwing glass down in drunken burning of the throat and then hittin la Dub! its tres expensive for la drink! Fitzsimmons - lovely place! good for a jive to proclaimers sang by the great live bands!! Copper face jacks - really good club! pulled within a song then had to escape and run to taxi from drunken stalker man!! (beware of any men cause mallachy! he will stalk and drink all ur money away!) Boomerangs - loved boomerags reminded me of a club in Glasgow! Ri-Ra - probably good if you dont arrive at 9 oclock! Many more but cannot remember - again we will update you in January Last but NOT LEAST! - The Viper room (after hours club) the LOVELY Australian doorman always let us in for free must have had the looks of celebs as its where they hang out! Didnt meet any that we know of! Our final day and final nappa was upon us! and as it was a lovely day decided to guzzle orange juice in the park! In conclusion, we thoroughly recommend Bridge House and the dub for a drunken week for friends! We will be going back to this same hotel in January CANT WAIT!!! Look out Dub here we come!
