I have just returned from a 3 night break at the Best Western Ashling Hotel. got a great deal from the internet with one night free including breakfast, which was really nice. Some of the reviews didn't put me off as a friend stayed there in October last year. The staff were friendly, and I can honestly say the rooms and hotel were clean. Yes it?s a good 20-minute walk to centre of town but buses run regularly and at least you can get good nights sleep. Who needs Temple Bar, at least you don't get ripped off up at this end of the town and the pubs were brilliant, especially if there is a (lock in). A visit to Nancy Hands pub is well worth a visit, and the staff in the millennium pub were absolutely fantastic. Thanks chaps for a brilliant holiday. If I was visiting Dublin again I wouldn't hesitate to use this hotel again.

Dublin is incredible! The staff at The Ashling Hotel are very warm and friendly. The restaurant was great and the Guinness Lounge was a fun time, can't say enough about the staff. The room was cold, but they brought a space heater which helped. If you go in the winter, the room will be cold but they will do all they can. I will go back to Dublin and I will stay here again, close to the train line and a short walk to everywhere, also very safe.

Buffer was not so great, especially if you are on the sweet/biscuits side, to be improved. I was alarmed since I entered the room I received an automated sms from my VISA card circuit that I had been charged for two days, I asked the reception, they said the ask a pre-authorisation right after the check-in, that was true, no problem but was not very pleasant and a bit rude. The Hotel 40 mins walk from the center, however there is a good bus/tram service nearby. The hotel is going major refurbishment.

Reservations were made on the net months ahead of our visit. Everything was in order upon our arrivel & regestration went without any problem. The hotel was in the middle of great pubs, restaurants & excellent transportation to get us throughout the city. Hotel service & help was excellent. There were 6 in our party.
