Spent 2 nights here with my husband, after not being able to get a room at the crowne plaza.
Booked a junior suite, very cheap. First impressions good, liked the lobby clean, fresh and modern. The lady who checked us in was pleasant.
Sadly the room did not meet our good expectations.
Room 522, we walked in and first of all we noticed the dirty (was once cream) carpet. The room was big, but to be expected and loved the view of the runway. Turned the t.v on and did not work properly, so i called reception to inform them. Meanwhile we looked at the bathroom, neither of us were impressed. No seperate shower, had to use shower in bath, for a jnr suite and 4* hotel i expected better. Bath had obviously at some point been damaged and you can see the repair marks. Overall bathroom and room both needing urgent updating. So we asked to be moved rooms.
Next room 422, t.v working, carpet and room much cleaner. 8.15am woken up to some drilling. Both hoping for a lie to to recover from our week of travelling in ireland, no chance now!! Drilling carried on and on, could not get back to sleep. Seems they are doing work on the hotel everyday till 5pm. Now the hotel needs this work but they never mentioned it when checking in, at least you could prepare for the noise and possibly get some ear plugs! Thankfully we missed the drilling on the second morning as we checking out at 7am.
The hotel bar is very nice, good atmosphere and nice food. Location great for airport and the port. Car park is ?9.50 for 24 hours.
Personally i would not stay here again, i 100% prefer the crowne plaza. The hotel should inform guests of the work on the hotel when checking in. Hopefully they will be revamping the 2 rooms we have seen as they are definitely not 4* quality.

My wife and I stayed here the night before we went on holidays recently. We felt it was a better option than get up at 5am for the early bus to Dublin Airport. Happily we were proved correct! Having stayed at Radisson hotels around Europe, it was everything we have come to expect: for instance courteous, helpful staff, fine, spacious room with very comfortable bed and an extensive choice for the buffet breakfast. There is also a courtesy bus that takes guests from the hotel to the airport. Next time we are flying from Dublin, we will definitely be staying here before we go!
