The communal areas were very pleasant maintaining the Georgian theme, although the grandest lounge was reserved for smokers.. Read review

The location is great, just off a lively main road with lots of cafe's, shops, restaurants and pubs. The hotel itself is on a quiet side street, there was no traffic noise at all. The staff were fantastic and extremely friendly and could not have been more helpful if they had wanted too. The bedrooms were basic but very clean with a nice size bathroom. The breakfast the next morning was fab too.. Read review

Service was OK, and the food in the dining room was very nice indeed. On the Saturday night the restaurant was bunged with locals, which is always a good sign. Location wise, the hotel is located off a quiet leafy side street in the relatively exclusive area of Ballsbridge. There are plenty of good bars within a couple of minutes walk, and the city centre and shopping streets are no more than 45 minutes on foot, again passing plenty of nice bars to stop in for a swift pint.
I travel on business a lot and although this beautiful Hotel with Red Brick, Ivy and an excellent location looked more like a Honeymooners Paradise, it was perfect for the travelling businessman. Wireless Internet in all locations, perfect cozy rooms and absolutely fantastic and friendly staff.
After a long flight I needed to get cleaned up, but when I arrived in early afternoon there was no water - a problem that was not taken care of until the following morning. Do not stay here if you are on business of any kind - the staff are simply unreliable.
This was another disaster in which staff assured me (5 times!
