Booked a family suite consisting of 3 interconnecting rooms. The accommodation itself was clean, modern & comfortable. Now thats the positives out of the way lets roll with the negatives. We purposely booked this hostel sorry i mean hotel : ) because we were advised by the reservation staff that the venue we were attending was a 5 minute walk away in fact it was a 5 minute taxi ride! not what we had expected & had not planned for. I was annoyed that we were ill advised as we had our four children & although my eldest at 16 was more than capable i still felt uncomfortable leaving the actual area to attend the function we had purposely gone there for. Upon checking I asked the receptionist what time the pool closed he told me 9pm the kids had been so looking forward to swimming so there was much disappointment when i called down to reception at 6pm to ask about towels the same guy told me the pool was in fact closed! Another Gripe was the heating in the room. We had the windows ajar in the main bedrooms but the 3rd room had a patio door as it was stiflingwe attempted to open the door but it was locked. We called to reception & Tweedledum sent Tweedledee to assist us. He could not find the key management informed us after that the patios doors do not open. God forbid if there was a fire outside your door as the windows only opened a few inches. We intended heading downstaires ahead of schedule to have a few drinks in the bar that was until we found out the bar was closed due to a private function. When i complained to a manager i was told we could be served drinks in the lobby. We went downstairs to avail of this service in a hour there was no staff member at reception. We had to walk up to the other hotel to get a taxi! Breakfast was a complete Joke. The main hotel was full so naturally enough it was very busy. We queued for 20 mins to be seated and when we were it was an absolute disgrace. Beans & egg all over the table cloth & quite possibly the worse breakfast I have ever had the misfortune to eat in Ireland. So to summarize the decor was good & the hotel itself was very clean but it was badly managed & resulted in us paying for a hotel with supposed facilities that quite simply were not there on our visit. Very disappointing especially for a lynch group hotel I'd come to expect much more.

Stayed at the sports hotel for one night while attending a conference at the main hotel. The entrance to the main hotel was beautiful and the main hotel looks lovely, didn't expect some of us would be staying in another hoel behind the main place. Totaly shocked when we entered the room, it looked like a room from a hostel, the decor was non exsisted, the toilet didn't flush, the sink wouldn't drain out water, cheap looking furnishing, no bin in the bathroom, no list of hotel facility's. When we complained to the receptionist she informed us she would get some to sort out the plumbing that evening, no one came. Food in the main hotel was average, Don't go to this hotel, you will be dissapointed
