Just finished a near perfect stay at Appart'City Cap Affaires Paris. First of all, the location is excellent- it is literally just a few steps away from the Metro at Ourcq station.
The neighborhood itself is a working class area, which is great because it has numerous reasonably priced cafes and brasseries on the same street as the apartments, and it also has a Monoprix store for purchasing groceries, wine, and other necessities just a short walk away.
I was pleasantly surprised by how spacious (by Paris standards) my appartment was. It contained a kitchen area with small refrigerator, cooktop, microwave, and a cabinet with enough dishes and utensils for 2. I was on the 4th floor, and had a room with an attached balcony. There is a lift/elevator to help get to rooms on the upper floors.
The staff was quite helpful and spoke a bit of English, which was great because my French is not very good.
A few things to know- this is not a full service hotel, rather an apartment building that caters to travelers staying between 3 and 30 days. There is no daily maid service, but the room had a few cleaning tools (broom, mop, etc) for self-cleaning. Upon checkin, the room was quite clean, and had an information sheet advising where to empty trash bins and how to check out if the office was not staffed.
Only two things keep me from giving a perfect review- I had requested a non-smoking appartment (which is not guaranteed and not really a common thing in all of Paris, except for in American chain hotels) and the room had a lingering smoky smell at checkin time, which was easily remedied by opening the balcony door for a short time upon each return to the room. The hot water was also hit or miss- I found that I had a better chance of getting a hot shower in the early or midmorning than I did trying to get a hot shower at night.
I would highly recommend this facility to anyone who prefers apartment-style quarters rather than a hotel during their travels.
