4We loved Budapest - so much to see and do in the 5 days we were there, and still more to see on our next visit.
The hotel is beautiful downstairs and the staff were excellent. Breakfast couldn't be faulted with a large range to chose from - hot and cold.
The hotel is excellently situated with all the main areas within easy walking distance. We would encourage you to take the underground it is fast and really easy to navigate.
We were however really disappointed with the hotel room. We had booked a double bed and what we got wsa 2 single beds, with 2 single Duvets pushed together. They were so uncomfortable and the bedding was completely useless.
We were wakened at about 4am every morning with the sound of shouting, swearing, and breaking glass. It seems we were in rooms overlooking the side street and there were 2 nightclubs close by. Everyone was making their way home a bit worse for drink!!
If you can get a quiet room with a good bed, the hotel is excellent. We had a great visit to Budapest, but probably wouldn't stay here again.
PS. Make sure you visit the Baths - we went to the one up at Hero's square and it was excellent. make sure that you explore so that you find the outdoor baths within the complex as they are excellent.
PPS Make sure that you stop for lots of tea and cakes - so cheap, but so so good!
Enjoy!!
