My fianc? and I stayed there for 2 nights during the end of May bank holiday. We knew the hotel got great reviews but had no idea how beautiful it was until we got there. It was worth every penny! Everyone we dealt with was super friendly, nice and helpful. We opted for the upgraded rooms that gave us access to the lounge and access to lots of free food, drinks and breakfast. The Asian fusion restaurant in the hotel is pretty good as well. We had a great meal there one night. You are also only a couple of metro stops from the lovely outdoor thermal baths which I highly recommend and all the shops and cafes near the river. Choosing the right hotel can make or break a holiday. I am sooooo glad we chose this one.

Stayed here for 3 nights the day after our Scottish Wedding, we had arranged pick up from the airport directly from the hotel, our flight was 30 minutes early, however our driver was there to greet us. We arrived at the hotel after a nice drive (only takes about 25 minutes) to be greeted by the hotel duty manager who told us we were guests of the day, this meant that we were upgraded to a suite. A bottle of wine was waiting for us in our room, just when I thought it couldnt get any better, 10 minutes later there was a knock at the door two waiter then preceded to bring in a bottle of champagne on ice, t The first night we ate in the Rickshaw restraunt fabulous meal excellent service. Next day went to the spa, really relaxing surroundings. We booked massages (approx ?60 for 50 minutes) and were mortified with the paper pants lol. Next day we took a tour hop on hop off with a cruise highly recommended costs only ?13 well worth it just to take in the sights. When we arrived back to the hotel there was an invitation waiting for us to attend the hotel cocktail evening, it just gets better and better, fantastic evening, wonderful service throughout the hotel. Clean and luxurious and staff couldnt do enough for us, a credit to managment team. As with all 5 star hotels the drinks are a bit pricey, you can go around the corner and pay at least 50% less however you do not have the beautiful surroundings of this hotel. My husband and I had a wonderful honeymoon at this first class hotel. We are now planning to return with our friends.

Preston UK As we like to have a winter break and ski-ing does not appeal to us have been twice to this hotel in January 2006 and 2007. Could not go this January due to work commitments but booking for next January as soon as possible. My wife and I enjoyed been pampered and we would agree with other comments regarding Intercontinental and Marriot they are not in the same league. We love explolring the city, in 2006 it was -18c, and snowing at times wheras in 2007 it was + 15c, but this did affect us as we enjoyed both trips and would recommend to anyone. Out of main stag and hen areas and were well looked after from arriving at the front door. Concierge service and food is excellent, especially breakfast, drinks and restaurants not overly expensive for five star hotel. Looking forward to sampling the spa next year.
