The apartment is situated in a really nice old building just off Andrassy ut. close to a metro station. It is designed for self-catering, but there was no kettle for boiling water, and the stairs to the mezzanine sleeping area are very steep. Could do with a few more comfy chairs, too.
The living/sleeping room is spaceous, however with the number of unused and uncovered beds it is not that cozy to relax. It is more hostel alike. The kitchen is used as living room instead.
The apt we stayed at was perfect for my group. We stayed at the apt right across from the Opera house, in a historical building. The apt was spacious, with 4 beds fitted comfortably. There was a large common area and a large kitchen. It is located in a very upscale area, yet it is close to quite a few bars and clubs. On somedays, we were woken up by the beautiful voice of the opera singer warming up for the evening performance. On other days, we saw dancers dressing up for their show. It was the perfect location. The only complain is that the shower door does not close properly. So we always had a puddle of water in the bathroom after each shower. Overall, I would recommend it to someone who cares about the location and size of the apt and be able to ignore minor inconveniences.
Old, decayed flat in a fantastic building in a fantastic location in Budapest - just next to the Opera building and a few steps away from the famous Andrassi avenue and a metro station. However, beware: the flat interior is really decayed and IS NOT SUITABLE FOR YOUNG CHILDREN - there are hanging electrical outlets with wires showing throughout the flat. The flat needs to be refurbished.
