Tulip Inn Budapest Millennium is a very nice and welcoming hotel. I would not hesitate to stay there again. The metro being only a short distance away makes getting to the city centre very easy.
All good except;-
Television and remote control defective
Range of tv channel poor
No internet in room
Internet access in lobby not working
Good value budget hotel
Transfer to airport relatively expensive
We stayed at the Tulip Inn for 2 nights. The rooms were very clean and decor very nice. The beds were not that comfortable but ok if you are not staying long. The hotel is kept very clean and the staff ok look out for Basil Fawlty at the evening meal. Although we did not have an evening meal there were some complaints about Basil. Apparently he is well known for his manner but is held in high regard in the local area and in the hotel. Just don't take any notice of what he says and its fine according to the others in our party. The hotel is in a good location and the metro and trams run regularly into the city. Very cheap. The lounge area is not that comfortable to sit for ages but ok for a quick drink at the bar.
