The Normafa lookout was the most popular excursion place of Budapest's artist society of the 19th century. The well-known singer Róza Klein once sung the great aria of Bellini`s Norma under a big beech at this beautiful place. From this time on, this place has been called Norma tree - "Normafa" in Hungarian.
Take a pleasant walk to the forest and use the chairlift (Libego) which is situated 1.5 km from the hotel and embrace the stunning scenery of the city.
Venture to the children’s railway which is located 300 metres from the hotel. From here, travel through the majestic hills of Buda, which have been declared a protected site.

From the airport::
- The LRI minibus takes you at a fixed rate to any point in the city.
- There is also another airport minibus shuttle service.
- If taking a taxi it is better to order it in advance.
From the West Railway Station ( Nyugati Pályaudvar ):
- Take tram number 4 or 6 to Moszkva Square, from where you will reach Hotel Normafa by bus numbers 21 or 90.
-The hotel is situated 50 metres from the bus station.
From the East Railway Station ( Keleti Pályaudvar ):
-Take subway line M2 (red line) to Moszkva square and proceed as indicated above.
From the South Railway Station (Déli Pályaudvar):
-Take the bus number 21 or 90 to the Hotel Normafa.
-The hotel is just 50 metres from the bus station.
From the bus terminal:
- The bus terminal is situated near Deák square, from where you can take the subway line M2 (red line) to Moszkva square.
- From there take bus number 21 or 90.
