The Normafa lookout was the most popular excursion place of Budapest's artist society of the 19th century. The well-known singer Róza Klein once sung the great aria of Bellini`s Norma under a big beech at this beautiful place. From this time on, this place has been called Norma tree - "Normafa" in Hungarian.

Take a pleasant walk to the forest and use the chairlift (Libego) which is situated 1.5 km from the hotel and embrace the stunning scenery of the city.

Venture to the children’s railway which is located 300 metres from the hotel. From here, travel through the majestic hills of Buda, which have been declared a protected site.

The lobby and entire hotel is clean and new and just lovely. The breakfast each AM was wonderful, and you can eat inside or outside overlooking the gorgeous woods. The room was kind of small, but still nice, clean and comfy. Large bathroom and excellent water pressure, big comfy towels and an in-room safe that was free. The public transport is literally right across the street and we bought a three-day pass and used it. The lobby staff was wonderfully helpful and knowledgable. There is free internet in a small office or you can pay for it in your room if you brought a laptop.. Read review

We simply had a fantastic time, this hotel is in a great location on the Buda hill overlooking the city 40 mins from the airport and we used Budapesttransfer and they were waiting for us at the airport and collected us at the end of holiday(First class service). The location is well worth the 15 mins bus ride, you can get the 90 or 21 to the Normafa and the bus service is excellent. You can purchase a week's pass at the airport for £10 and this covers the underground, trams, bus ect. We were half board, food was again very good and we could choose where to eat. Food prices at the hotel were very similar to eating out in the UK.. Read review

Lovely staff, clean rooms and beautiful setting. Our only dampener was that the weather wasn't as good as it had been and we couldn't relax by the pool. It may be a bit out of town but there are great views nearby and it is on a main bus route.. Read review
